Injustice تجاوزed all bounds, and the tyrant decided, through his oppression and aggression, to strip a group of believers of their lives, safety, and stability, and to punish everyone who stood up to his tyranny with a word of truth. That was not enough for him; rather, he went on to torment their families and resolved to destroy the lives of everyone connected to them, thinking that he would weaken their resolve and break their spirit. It was therefore the duty of the believers whom Allah spared from that trial to be a support for their brothers and relatives who were reached by the hand of oppression

From here came “Jiwar”... It was incumbent upon us to be a voice for those who were absent... the voice of those whose voices were silenced, those cast into the depths of the well, and those who have passed away, to convey to the world what our brothers endure every day in those dark places of a heinous war, with all it contains of physical and psychological torture, by which the tyrants and aggressors seek to break their will and weaken their determination. But far, far from that... they found only heroes who proclaim in their faces that the more torture they endure, the greater their resolve, determination, and certainty in Allah’s victory; and the passage of time did not weary them from increasing in patience to attain a good end

Jiwar was... so that we might stand in for those heroes in their homes and fill a great void left by their absence in their households... in psychological, educational, and other ways, so we hold the child’s hand until he becomes a fully grown man in his religion and mind, and we support the hands of patient wives, helping them and opening horizons for them whenever they desire, and being a safe haven to which they turn whenever they grow weak. On the other hand, we bring the outside world to the dearly beloved pieces of our hearts who are far away, so they do not become isolated from what is happening in our world, and we make the paths easy for them as much as we can. For we hope that they will be our leaders and those in authority over us when Allah relieves their distress, and brings them out of darkness into light. That is Allah’s way, so that He may enable His servants upon His earth; they do not attain the honor of raising the word of the religion, nor do they achieve dominance and victory over their enemy, except after passing through forms of trial and purification so that Allah may distinguish the impure from the pure... and the Most Merciful is the One sought for help
